The late Bill “Moose” Skowron was a popular first baseman for the New York Yankees from 1954 to 1962. He launched 211 home runs during his career and along the way became friends with some of baseball’s greatest Hall of Famers ever. His post-playing days were filled by serving as a goodwill ambassador for the Chicago White Sox, a team he played with from 1964 to ’67. This lot includes 7 Hall of Fame pitcher single-signed baseballs that Skowron collected during his post-playing days. Each of these Rawlings baseballs has been signed in blue ink on their individual sweet spots by with some of the players including special inscriptions: Sandy Koufax; Bob Feller ("HOF 62" and "2005"); Steve Carlton ("HOF 94"); Jim Palmer ("HOF 90"), Gaylord Perry ("HOF 91"), Robin Roberts (”HOF 76); and Jim Bunning ("HOF 96"). Koufax rates 8/10. All others rate 9/10. Koufax signed an ONL (Feeney) ball. All others signed OML (Selig) balls.

Includes Letter of Authenticity from the Skowron Family. Also includes 5 Certificates of Authenticity signed by Bill "Moose" Skowron (all but Bunning and Feller). "Moose" appeared at dozens of autograph shows in the 1980's with Mickey Mantle and other Yankee greats.
