The 18" by 13" glossy pages provide a large backdrop for crisp, brilliant photographs like Roger Maris's record-breaking home run in 1961 and the renowned image of Bill Mazeroski rounding third base after his walk-off, World Series-clinching home run in 1960. Photographs of rarely seen documents include the contract between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Boston Americans to play the first World Series in 1903 and the transfer agreement that sent the rights to one George Herman Ruth from the Boston Red Sox to the New York Yankees for $25,000. The book has features on all 30 ball clubs, spring training, the All-Star game, ballparks, and profiles of the game's greats from Mickey Mantle and Jackie Robinson to Alex Rodriguez and Albert Pujols. The 428 page books measure 18 1/2" H x 13 1/2" W x 2 1/2" D. Each book weighs 26 lbs., and appropriate shipping costs will apply. Five of the books are in their original factory boxes (4 sealed, one open) and one copy is unboxed. These books were printed in very limited quantities and have long been out of stock. They originally retailed for $295 each.
