This group of unused full tickets would have admitted the holder to three of the rare instances when the Yankees lost the World Series. The first ticket is from Game 1 of the 1955 Series against the Dodgers. The Yanks started out strong, with Whitey Ford winning Game 1 behind a pair of homers by Joe Collins and a one by Elston Howard in his first post-season at-bat. The Lower Stand full ticket is graded PSA PR 1 and shows heavy toning with edge wear and pitting especially along the bottom edge. There is a piece missing from the top left portion.

The second ticket in this lot is from Game 5 of the 1960 World Series against Pittsburgh. This game resulted in a tough Yankees loss at the hands of Pirates ace Harvey Haddix. The Pirates hurler held the Yankees bats to just 5 hits, one of them being Roger Maris’ solo shot in the third. Pittsburgh went on to win the series with Bill Mazeroski’s Hollywood-ending home run in the bottom of the 9th inning of Game 7. The Lower Stand full ticket grades PSA GD 2 and shows light toning along with slight edge wear.

The final pair of tickets are from Game 4 of the 1964 Series against St. Louis. This game was remembered for Ken Boyer’s 6th inning grand slam home run off Al Downing that put the Cards ahead for good in the 4-3 win. One is graded PSA VG-EX 4 with toning and edge wear; the other is PSA VG 3 with toning and light staining.
