Tony Kubek was a standout infielder for the New York Yankees from 1957 to 1965 who went on to become a longtime broadcaster for the Yankees. The American League Rookie of the Year in 1957, Kubek went on to help the Yankees win three World Series championships during his time in New York (1958, ’61 and ’62). This lot includes 12 snow white Official Major League (Selig) baseballs signed by Kubek in black ink on the sweet spot. On six of the baseballs he has inscribed: “Rookie of the Year 1957 – A.L.” while on the other six he has inscribed “World Champions 1958 - 1961 - 1962.” All signatures and their accompanying inscriptions rate 8-9/10.
