From the guy who had the best nickname in baseball when he toiled for the Mets and the Phillies in the 1980's and 1990's comes a nifty combination: a game-used bat and a game-used and signed batting helmet. "Nails" personified hustle and grit in a 12-year career that included three All-Star nods, a Silver Slugger and a .285 lifetime batting average, with 81 home runs and 404 RBI's. Here's hoping the bat and helmet might trace their lineage to 1993: Dykstra turned in one of the greatest seasons for a leadoff hitter in the postwar era, scoring 143 runs, walking 129 times, socking 19 homers and stealing 37 bases. Our offered bat is a 33 1/2-inch Louisville Slugger Genuine B267 Lenny Dykstra Model, showing tons of game use, enough pine tar on the handle to launch a francise and Dykstra's No. 4 written in black marker on the knob. The accompanying Size 6 7/8 batting helment also shows good game use, with the helment size written by hand in black marker atop the warning sticker inside the crown. At the back of the helment is the Major League Baseball ABC sticker; directly below a red labeling strip is attached with "Dykstra 4." Helmet is essentially in as-issued and problem-free condition, and includes a strong black Sharpie Dykstra autograph and No. 4 inscription on the right side.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
