Called the greatest linebacker in NFL history by many, L.T. wore this incredible blue mesh Champion jersey during his 1983 and 1984 campaigns, his 3rd and 4th seasons in the league. The first ballot hall of famer played the game with a passion and intensity unlike anything seen before or after him. Named to the Pro Bowl in each of his first ten seasons and All-Pro in his first six, L.T. was an enforcer from the start, punishing would-be blockers en route to the sacrificial lamb quarterbacks in his targets. L.T. played in all 16 games in both 1983 and 1984, and from the 15 team repairs of the mesh in the left and right shoulder areas, he sure got his money's worth out of this awesome gamer. Tags for size and brand have been removed. The Champion logo is sewn on the left sleeve. L.T.'s number 56 is pressed into the fabric in four places, the front, back and both shoulders, in white with red outline. 'TAYLOR' is pressed cleanly on the back in bright white lettering. A few other scuff marks and tears are visible, but overall the jersey remains in problem-free condition.
The MEARS letter of authenticity grades it A8 due to the customized tail that has been cut off for L.T.'s wear preference.
