ADDENDUM: FROM 1997-1999, SEATTLE MARINERS UPGRADED THEIR BATTING PRACTICE AND SPRING TRAINING JERSEYS AND WORE THEM DURING THE REGULAR SEASON. NAMES WERE ADDED TO THE BACKS AND THEY BECAME HOME ALTERNATE JERSEYS.

This late 1990's Seattle Mariners home alternate jersey was game-worn by Ken Griffey Jr. towards the end of his tenure in the Pacific Northwest. In 2000, "The Kid" followed in his father's footsteps and signed with the Cincinnati Reds. But he will always be a Mariner and will certainly be enshrined as such in Cooperstown a few years from now. On the front left tail of the navy blue button-down is the "Majestic" manufacturer's tag with a flag tag attached reading "48." Inside the left hip of the jersey is a wash tag with code "0006" on it. Across the front is "Mariners" done in silver on navy on teal triple tackle twill. On the back of the jersey is the player number "24." Across the back is the player name “GRIFFEY” on a navy blue name plate. All lettering and numbering is done in silver on teal tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the “Mariners” logo patch. On the right sleeve is the embroidered “Majestic” logo. The jersey shows moderate wear and comes essentially as-issued and problem-free. Griffey has signed the back number in thick 8-9/10 blue marker.

The jersey is accompanied by a COA signed by Ken Griffey Jr.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
