After Walter Alston's 23-year reign as Dodgers manager came to an end in 1976, former Dodgers pitcher Tommy Lasorda took the wheel and put together his own 21-year tenure skippering the Boys in Blue. Four National League pennants, two World Series titles and two Manager of the Year awards later, the vibrant Italian would join his predecessor in the Hall of Fame. Offered here is Lasorda's game-worn dugout jacket dating to the late 1970s to early '80s at the beginning of his managerial career in L.A.

The blue satin, white-zippered garment features the classic “Dodgers” script logo sewn across the chest in white tackle twill. "LASORDA" is arched across the upper back in white tackle twill block-style letters. Blue-and-white striped stretch ribbed cotton lines the 3-1/4” wide collar, waistline and sleeve endings. Tagged by W.A. Goodman & Sons inside the collar indicating size 44, the fur-lined garment features two front pockets and a cloth hanger. Lasorda has autographed and inscribed the front “TOM LASORDA H.O.F.  8.3.97” under the Dodgers logo in silver felt tip pen. The jacket shows medium-heavy wear with most obvious usage visible in the collar, sleeve ends and lightly stained manufacturer's label. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (auto.).
