Ron Yary was a star offensive tackle for the USC Trojans during the mid-1960s who went on to have a prolific professional career with the Minnesota Vikings from 1968 to ‘81. During his tenure with the Vikings, the team won 11 division titles. During that period, Minnesota won the 1969 NFL Championship and NFC titles in 1973, 1974 and 1976, and played in Super Bowls IV, VIII, IX and XI. Yary was one of 10 Players to have played in all four Super Bowls games for the Vikings and was named All-Pro six consecutive seasons (1971–76). He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001. This lot includes Yary’s game-ready and signed Minnesota Vikings home white jersey from the late ‘70s. The size 52 jersey includes the proper Sand Knit manufacturer’s tag on the left front tail that reads: “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Minnesota Vikings.” Below that is the accompanying Sand Knit washing instructions tag. His white nameplate – “YARY” – is sewn into the back of the jersey with purple letters. Yary has signed the back of the jersey in black marker on the right shoulder area and added the inscription: “1968-1981.” His autograph is strong and rates 9/10 in our book.

Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
