Basketball Hall of Famer Larry Bird played 13 seasons in the NBA and led the Boston Celtics to three championships: 1981, ’84 and ’86. An outstanding shooter, passer and overall hustler, Bird was named the league's MVP over three consecutive seasons (1984, ’85 and ’86) and was twice named MVP of the NBA Finals. He hung up his sneakers following the 1991-92 season, but not before helping the 1992 U.S. Men’s Olympic Basketball Team (a.k.a. “The Dream Team”) win the gold medal at the Barcelona Summer Games.

This lot features a limited edition (#55/1000) Larry Bird autographed lithograph celebrating his spectacular hoops career. Created and also signed by sports artist Allen Hackney, the montage lithograph shows Bird during various phases of his career including wearing both the Boston Celtics home and away uniforms as well as his Team USA Olympic uniform from ’92. A beautiful backdrop showing the old Boston Garden rafters where the various Celtics championship banners hung before moving into the revamped TD Garden finish off the arrangement. Both Bird and Hackney have singed the print in blue marker. Framed and matted, the overall presentation measures 26” wide by 32” high. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
