Cycling superstar Lance Armstrong was classified as having won the Tour de France a record seven consecutive times between 1999 and 2005 before he was disqualified from all those races and banned from competitive cycling for life, for doping offenses by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2012. This is the actual Giro cycling helmet Armstrong wore during his first victory in the Tour de France (1999). The yellow and gray helmet (size S/M), which has been photo-matched to the actual race, shows ample wear and includes the original black chin strap. Despite his eventual disqualification years later, this is the helmet that started Armstrong on his unprecedented string of seven consecutive Tour de France victories.
Includes Letter of Provenance from Lance Armstrong.
