Rare pair of Kobe Bryant game worn and dual signed Adidas ‘Kobe 1’ basketball shoes from early in Bryant’s NBA career. This unique pair of shoes was Kobe’s first signature model shoe with Adidas, spending the first six years of his career under their brand before becoming a “Sneaker Free Agent” during the 2002-03 NBA season. The shoes feature a bold Kobe autograph on the outer panel of each sneaker in blue permanent marker. The size 14 shoes show minor signs of sun fading but remain in good condition. The Adidas ‘Kobe 1’ shoe can be easily style-matched to the 2001 NBA Finals when the Lakers faced off against the 76ers. Main features on the shoes include the classic Adidas three-stripe pattern on each side of the shoe and a black Adidas logo on the year. Dating on the inside tagging reads “09/00” denoting that the manufacturing date of the shoes was in November of 2000, which would have been at the beginning of the 2000-01 NBA season. The Los Angeles Lakers would go on to win their second title in a row led by the dominant duo of Shaq and Kobe. Kobe averaged an astonishing 28.5 PPG, 5.9 RPG, and 5 APG during this season at the young age of 22. The shoes are accompanied by a 14.5"x11.5" photo of Shaq and Kobe during the 2001 NBA Finals where Kobe is sporting the same Adidas 'Kobe 1' shoes as he throws a behind-the-back pass to his big man.
