Over the years, Nike has released different lines of shoes and clothes to commemorate Black History Month, most notably the Air Force 1. We've also seen Kobe's line used to applaud one of his hero's, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
In 2011, Nike released the Zoom Kobe VI series that featured a run of Black History Month editions. The shoes feature a black polyurethane upper with metallic gold swoosh logo and heel counter. The letters "BHM" are in green, gold and red on the lateral heel. There is a marking stamped, "XXXV" on the underside of the tongue and represent the 35 years of Black History Month at the time. What makes this shoe even more special is Kobe's autograph in gold marker on the lower front right side of the right foot shoe. These shoes come with a Panini COA and the autograph is pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
