Kirk Haynes 1931-33 Ole Miss Rebels game worn home jersey, originally issued to Bob Jones but worn by Haynes. Haynes, who was a charter member of the Ole Miss Athletic Hall of Fame, excelled in the sports of football, basketball, and baseball at the university. In 1932 and 1933 he was selected to receive the Norris Trophy for being the best all around athlete at the school. As a member of the football team in 1931, he ran back a 104 kickoff return for a touchdown against Marquette, which still stands as the 2nd longest in school history. Long sleeve navy blue football jersey is made of wool with red bands on the sleeves, a white 3 sewn on the front and a larger white 3 sewn on the back. Inside the front tail are O'Shea Sporting Goods of Chicago and size 40 tags. Sewn inside back tail are "Treman King Co. of Pittsburgh and "jones" tags. Jersey has several small holes and exhibits tremendous game use. The back has several of what look to be team repairs where tears have been sewn up. An almost perfect circular repair is at the bottom. The jersey originally came from the Haynes Estate.

LOA from Grey Flannel Auctions.
