In 1997, classic realist Danny Day produced a Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
limited-edition print series consisting of 340 signed/numbered copies,
40 artist's proofs and 20 giclees—all endorsed with Kareem's signature.
Presented here is the sole original oil-on-canvas Abdul-Jabbar painting
on which that entire popular print series was based. The 31" x 42" work
features absolutely radiant color tones and renders "The Captain" as
well as any artist ever has, with a career-spanning montage of sky hooks
plus a regal bust-length portrait, set against a beautiful arena
backdrop. It is matted and framed to 41" x 51" (slight frame wear) and
signed by the artist.

versatile American artists, has established a reputation worldwide for
the high quality of his original works of art. Danny has made it a
lifelong quest to master and refine his version of realism, perfecting
