Featured here is a wonderfully captured 4" x 6.5" original photograph of Jack Johnson vs. Jim Jeffries during their famous heavyweight bout on July 4, 1910 in Reno, NV, that will long be remembered as boxing's original "Fight of the Century." The beautifully shot black-and-white photo features a wonderful rendering of Johnson squaring up against a defensive looking Jeffries surrounded by the world record crowd in the stands. The shot, issued by Percy Dana Studios, remains in EX or better condition with only one small fold in the bottom left corner. The rest of the photo displays wonderfully and the main event is hardly impacted. Verso has some paper affixed, presumably from having been glued to a some stock in the recent past. Overall, a simply stunning photograph of the most hyped and important fight in world boxing history. Authenticated and encapsulated Type 1 by PSA/DNA.
