A month after the beloved "Iron Horse" succumbed to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis at age 37, a memorial was held July 4, 1941, at Yankee Stadium to honor Gehrig and dedicate a monument to him in Memorial Park, behind center field of the stadium. His monument became the 2nd to be erected, joining the one in place for former manager Miller Huggins. Babe Ruth would follow in 1949. The offered stub has great coloring and very minor wear all around. A historic ticket celebrating the life of one of the Greatest to ever play the game. Slabbed AUTHENTIC by PSA.
