The NBA All-Star Weekend took place in Indianapolis, In. for the first time in 1985. The West finally ended its five-year All-Star Game slump with a 140-129 victory. Picking up where he left off a year earlier, Magic Johnson of the West had 15 assists (as well as 21 points) while George Gervin chipped in with 23 points. For the East, Larry Bird had 21 points and eight rebounds, Isiah Thomas had 22 points and Julius Erving added 12 in a losing effort. Perhaps even more notable than as the West's streak-snapping win was the All-Star debut of two future Hall of Famers and champions. Houston's Hakeem Olajuwon, and Chicago’s Michael Jordan suited up for the first time. A rookie for the Bulls, Jordan started for the East and had seven points in his All-Star debut.

Erving’s full 1985 All-Star uniform is completely original and unaltered. Both the jersey and shorts feature matching “Medalist Sand Knit” manufacturer’s tagging, with the jersey tag appearing on the back tail. All lettering, numbers and star adornments are screened on, including the player name “Erving” on back. Erving’s number “6” has been written on the tag inside the waistband of the shorts in black marker. Erving has signed the front of both the jersey and the shorts in black sharpie. Light game wear is evident on both items.

Includes a signed LOA from Julius Erving.
