Offered is a 14K white gold Hamilton pocket watch presented to Notre Dame's All-American Joseph Kurth. Kurth was a tackle on the 1931 College Football All-America team, a squad composed of college football players who were selected by various organizations and writers. This pocket watch (monogrammed "JK" on the back of the case with an engraved football) features a standard 19 jewels movement, serial numbered "3146968." The timepiece's interior also carries the engraved message, "Joseph Kurth / Notre Dame Right Tackle / All American Football Team / The New York Sun / 1931." It appears to be in full working order and also features individual numerals for all twelve hours as well as hour and minute hands. Its second hand is situated at the bottom-center on its own miniature dial. The white gold case is decoratively designed and in presentable condition, with minor wear and scratches to its glass and surface. Kurth was later a tailback for the Green Packers from 1933 to 1934.
