This is a 12-by-9 1/2-inch certificate marking John Havlicek's selection to the prestigious United Press International All-American Basketball Team for 1962. The certificate is printed on orange paper with the letters U.P.I. filling the frame in the background behind the formal language indicating his All-American First Team award, along with the actual signature of the UPI sports editor in the lower right corner. Havlicek added his own real autograph in black marker on the plexiglass that protects the piece. All elements are in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition, save only for a handful of barely visible sports on the plexiglass that likely could be easily removed with careful cleaning that steered around the Havlicek signature. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from John Havlicek.
