This intriguing 12-inch high crystal "V" award is among the more unique such pieces that you will encounter, an imposing artifact that was presented to NBA Hall of Famer John Havlicek for his role as a staff member at the prestigious Michael Jordan basketball summer camp. On a black Lucite centerpiece that rests between the two 11-inch crystal arms that form the "V," the following is etched in white: 10 Year Anniversary, Michael Jordan Senior Flight School, Las Vegas, Nevada," atop and surrounding the school's official logo, with "John Havlicek" and "Thank You For Your Contributions as a Staff Member, Michael Jordan," with a script Jordan facsimile autograph above the printed name. The "V" rests upon a matching black Lucite base 2 1/2 inch high and 4 inches in diameter. The entire piece comes elegant housed in a crushed blue velvet box 14-by-10 inches and 5 inches high, with more crushed blue velvet inside designed to cushion the intricately designed award. Even with such careful arrangement, one of the crystal arms creating the "V" has broken off at the base and also has visible chips at three spots at the top; it is not outside the realm of possibility that the broken arm could be re-attached to the base.
