In a yet another tribute to a player who had dashed the hopes of so many Philadelphia 76er fans over the years, the irascible Mayor Philadelphia Frank Rizzo presented this intriguing homage featuring the famed Liberty Bell to Havlicek as he made his final regular-season visit in March of 1978. An intricately designed recreation of the Liberty Bell is metal with a bronze-like finish. The 6-inch high bell stips atop a 6 1/2-by-4-inch wooden base that is 2 inches high. A small gold seal of the City of Philadelphia is at the front of the wood base; a striking silver Sharpie Havlicek autograph is at the top. A 5 1/2-inch gold nameplate at the front of the wooden base states: "Presented to John Havlicek on his retirement from the Boston Celtics, by Mayor Frank Rizzo, March 10, 1978." All elements appear to be in as-issued and problem-free condition. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from John Havlicek.
