As perhaps the school's most distinguished alum, finding a spot in the Ohio State Varsity Hall of Fame for John Havlicek would be a no-brainer, and the committee took care of it handsome with the presentation of this 10k gold ring in 1977, one year prior to Havlicek announced retirement from the NBA. The ring features a large red enamel "O" at the center atop a black enamel backdrop. The words "Varsity Award" surround it in relief lettering; one shank has an ornate design, while the other has "Buckeyes" and an Ohio State emblem figural arrangement. A serial number is stamped on the inside of the ring band in cursive letters; tiny stampings of Jostens and 10K are also inside the band. The ring appears to be in largely as-issued and problem-free condition. Ring is presented in a small black box with gold highlights and felt interior cushion. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from John Havlicek.
