In the campaign that saw the Celtics win the last of eight NBA titles that John Havlicek would own over his 16-year career, the makers of one of the ubiquitous hair-care products of the time sponsored this unique trophy presented to many of the biggest names in basketball history. A "gold" Vitalis 2 1/2-inch in diameter medallion is encased in a 4 1/2-inch-square tinted Lucite (1 1/2 inches deep), which in turns sits atop a 6-inch wood base with a nameplate that reads: "Vitalis Most Popular Player Award John Havlicek, Boston Celtics - 1976." An over-sized black Sharpie Havlicek 9/10 autograph appears at the back panel of the wood base. Like so much of the material in Havlicek's personal collection, preservation and care were center stage, and virtually all elements appear to be in as-issued and problem-free condition. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from John Havlicek.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
