This is the jersey, shorts and stirrup socks from John Havlicek’s seventh All-Star Game selection, a super artifact showing good game use and yet maintained - like so much of his personal memorabilia collection - in almost perfect condition for nearly a half-century. It’s also one of the more unique and distinctive of the many All-Star Game uniforms of the period, with a purple, gold and white color scheme more reminiscent of a certain team on the Left Coast than an all-star aggregation from the east. This nod to the game’s hosts at the Forum in Inglewood produced a striking uniform and one of the more eye-catching and intriguing of entries in the genre. Playing only 24 minutes, Havlicek led all scorers in the contest, only to see the hometown hero Jerry West sink a game-winning bucket to give the West a 112-110 win. The Tiernan of Glendale, Calif.-tagged jersey is a brilliant purple, set off with the aforementioned gold and white highlights. The elegant autograph of Havlicek appears in black Sharpie on the white “7” on the back of the jersey. Both the jersey and the Tiernan-tagged shorts are in essentially as-issued and problem free condition, with no alterations of any kind visible and minimal fraying on piping or embroidered letters or numbers, most notably on the intricate white stars with purple shadowing on the shorts. Simply put, a wonderful example of one of the most unique and distinctive All-Star uniforms in league history worn by one of the most prominent figures from that game.

Includes a LOA from John Havlicek.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
