This is John Havlicek's signed game worn jersey from an epic confrontation in the early 1970s between the two professional basketball leagues: the second All-Star battle of the established NBA players against their fledgling rivals from the maverick American Basketball Association. Dubbed "SuperGame II," the game was the rematch following the NBA's 125-120 win the previous year at the Astrodome. This time the game was held at the Nassua Coliseum on Long Island, and Havlicek topped all scorers with 17 points as the NBA hung on to a 106-104 victory. You can even watch the historic contest come to life thanks to the modern marvel of YouTube:

This blazing blue jersey is from that epic contest, yet another specimen that has been maintained - like so much of his unprecedented personal collection - in almost perfect condition for more than a half-century. Havlicek signed on the red No. 7 on the back, an absolutely exquisite autograph in a fine-point silver Sharpie that is something to behold. Carrying a collar tag from Gerry Cosby Athletic Outfitters of New York, the Size 44 jersey (Size 36 pants) is nothing short of spectacular and is in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition, with no alterations of any kind visible and minimal fraying on piping or embroidered letters or numbers. Comes with an LOA from John Havlicek.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
