Former collegiate quarterback Johnny Lujack starred on the gridiron for the Fightin’ Irish of Notre Dame. His 1947 season was nothing short of magical. He led the 1947 Fighting Irish to 9–0 record during his senior season, where he completed 61 of 109 passes on 109 for 777 yards and also rushed for 139 yards on 12 the Irish won the national championship. The offered badge here was used by Lujack to attend the Heisman Trophy presentation honoring his win. The dark blue badge (5.5" long) is fully functional and has "J. Lujack ND" typed to a piece of paper inside its nameplate. "D.A.C. Thirteenth Annual Heisman Football Trophy Awarded To John Lujack University of Notre Dame December 10th 1947" is printed to the ribbon. A metal football fob is attached to the bottom of the ribbon. Despite its 71 years, the badge remains in excellent condition.
