Beautiful brass belt buckle once owned and worn by the great Hall of Fame slugger Jimmie Foxx. The 2" by 2 1/2" buckle, originating from the Foxx estate, has a crossed bat and ball design located above a crest with the initials "JEF" (James Emory Foxx). The beautifully designed buckle has the look and feel of quality and was likely given to Foxx by a friend or admirer. An outstanding item, used to hold up the pants of one of the greatest right handed sluggers of all-time. When originally sold in our February 20, 2003 Auction the belt buckle was one of several items originating from the Foxx family. As such, it had a LOA from Jimmie Foxx Jr. Unfortunately this LOA was lost to our consignor, the original buyer, during the tragic events of Hurricane Katrina.
