On January 25, 1998, the NFC Champion Green Bay Packers faced off against the AFC Champion Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXII. Playing at San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium, Broncos running back Terrell Davis scored the go-ahead touchdown with 1:45 left in the game to make the score 31-24. Despite suffering a migraine headache that caused him to miss most of the second quarter, Davis (a San Diego native) was named Super Bowl MVP. He ran for 157 yards, caught two passes for 8 yards, and scored a Super Bowl record three rushing touchdowns. This lot includes a game-used and specially logoed Super Bowl XXXII Wilson football that Davis has signed in silver. He’s added his uniform number “30” right above his signature. The solid signature rates 9-10/10 in our book!
It should be noted that the Terrell Davis Super Bowl XXXII MVP signed football that is part of Lot 1024 is not game-used; Davis is the only autograph repeat in the consignor's incredible collection of Super Bowl I through XLVIII MVP signed balls.
