Extremely desirable Jackie Robinson autographed index card authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA. Jackie's sharp penmanship includes the inscription "Best Wishes" in bold blue marker for eye-catching appeal on the pearly white background. Arguably one of the most important autographs in baseball history. A must-have for any serious baseball collection.
Provenance: Our consignor collected sports autographs in the late 1960’s through the mid-1970’s while living in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Along with getting autographs at Cincinnati Bengals training camp, Cincinnati Royals NBA games, Cincinnati Reds games and opponents Cincinnati team hotels, he was active mailing to players during these years, including their sports cards, magazine photos and index cards to be signed and returned in stamped self-addressed envelopes. While he quit collecting in the mid-1970's, he always kept his collection nearby, although sometimes packed away for long periods of time. He recently "rediscovered" his collection, and ultimately decided it was time to give his autographed treasures a second life.
