Lou Gehrig's most celebrated baseball card, this treasured Goudey collectible features striking and brightly colored artwork, showcasing an illustration that is among the most enduring and recognizable portrait images of "The Iron Horse." In the year this card was released, Gehrig won the American League Triple Crown, belted 49 homers and drove in 165 runs with a .363 average. An outstanding commemoration of the Hall of Famer's historic 1934 performance, card #37 is the most important issue in Gehrig's namesake set.

What makes this particular example even more significant is Gehrig's striking black ballpoint autograph underneath his grinning portrait. The signature, which is graded NM 7 by PSA/DNA, contrasts beautifully against the white background of his uniform. Any Gehrig signed baseball card is extremely scarce, and this is one of just five signed examples of the 1934 Goudey #37 listed in the PSA Population Report. The card itself is very-well centered and crease-free with evenly rounded corners and fairly clean borders. Few blemishes stand out other than a sligth scratch across the face and edge wear on the right side. Slabbed "Authentic" for the card, the condition appears GD/VG which match the only graded example in the PSA pop. A stunning example of one of the most desirable autographs on perhaps Lou Gehrig's most recognizable baseball card ever produced.

Incredibly Scarce Lou Gehrig Autographed 1934 Goudey #37 Card - PSA Authentic, PSA/DNA 7 Auto. (Only Four Other Signed Versions Known!)
