The ultimate combination of condition and remarkable provenance elevate this 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers World Champions team ball into rarefied air. The ONL (Giles) ball features 25 signatures rated 7/10 by the strict autograph graders at PSA/DNA. Hall of Famers include Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Pee Wee Reese, Manager Walt Alston (SS), and Gil Hodges. Other notables are Don Newcombe, Johnny Podres (MVP of '55 Fall Classic), Don Zimmer, Rube Walker, Junior Gilliam, Carl Furillo, Sandy Amoros, Dixie Howell, Don Bessent, Don Hoak, Clem Labine, Ed Roebuck, Carl Erskine, Karl Spooner, Roger Craig, George Shuba, and the ever-important presence of Frank Kellert, whose lone season as a Dodger assures its 1955 vintage. The signatures of Snider, Meyer and Loes have been deemed clubhouse. The ball itself retains a nice milky white color and remains largely blemish-free, garnering an 8 condition grade by PSA/DNA.

This ball was initially sold with a team letter from Dodgers longtime executive Arthur E. (Red) Patterson), who served as PR Director for the club from 1954-75. (Patterson later served as team president of the California Angels.) The Dodgers gifted this ball to "one of Brooklyn's staunchest rooters" named Eleanor Kalisky. While the letter dated 12/14/1955 on Dodgers letterhead (with postmarked envelope) has since been misplaced, we have included a scan of it for reference.

The lot comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA with an overall grade of 7.5 (autographs 7; ball 8).
