Astros rookie Jose Altuve had been in the majors for just a few weeks when he recorded one of baseball’s rarest achievements – an inside the park home run. Altuve turned the rare trick in the top of the first when he hit a long fly ball to deep left center off Giants ace Madison Bumgarner. Center fielder Cody Ross tried to play the ball off the wall but missed the catch. As Altuve raced around first, Ross lost the ball at the base of the wall. By the time he got a handle on it, Altuve was speeding into third where he ignored signs to hold up and continued towards home. Ross realized what was happening and threw a strike to the cutoff man, but by the time he relayed the throw Altuve was on his way into the Astros dugout with his first career home run. This full ticket to Jose Altuve’s exciting premier home run shows light use with the expected wear along the perforated edges. There are some light surface abrasions and no apparent folds. The ticket has been encapsulated and graded Authentic by PSA.
