Mickey Mantle remains one of the most beloved New York Yankees in history. The “Commerce Comet” landed in the Bronx in 1951 and stayed in the Yankees lineup until 1968. He launched a total of 536 career home runs and earned three American League MVP awards along the way: 1956, ’57 and ‘62. This lot includes a high-graded Mickey Mantle single-signed official American League (Brown) baseball that Mickey signed perfectly across the sweet spot in blue ink. Autograph grades a 9 as well as the ball itself for an overall PSA/DNA grade of 9. A terrific, prized piece of Yankee memorabilia for any true fan of the Bronx Bombers.
Includes Letter of Authenticity from the Skowron Family. Also includes Certificate of Authenticity signed by Bill "Moose" Skowron. Mantle and "Moose" appeared at dozens of autograph shows together in the 1980's.
