Presented here is a sharp black and white photo from the 1950 film, The Jackie Robinson Story.

A picture is worth 1,000 words. Here our color barrier hero Jackie, with his on-screen wife, played the radiant Ruby Dee, is in a dramatic exchange with several men.

The 7x9 image is beautifully inked by our hero Jackie in blue period fountain pen, with a Beckett LOA accompanying this special image. It is inscribed by Jackie with "Best Wishes." Jackie's penmanship has some minimal fading, but still rates a solid 6-7/10.

This appears to be an original press photo, but we did not want to disturb the nice framed display (13x15) to inspect if there were any significant stampings or markings on the back, if it is perhaps a Type I or Type II, which would add more traces of history to this already delightful piece.
