This is next year! The Dodgers had lost every one of their World Series tries in 1916, 1920, 1941, 1947, 1949, 1952, and 1953. There was even the defeat in the 1951 playoff to the New York Giants when Bobby Thomson's "shot heard 'round the world" broke hearts across Brooklyn. Their last 5 Series losses were all at the hands of the New York Yankees. Finally, in 1955, Brooklyn pulled off their first and only World Series victory, over their pinstriped nemesis, in an unforgettable 7 game nail-biter. Presented here is one of the finest condition ‘55 Brooklyn Dodgers team signed balls we’ve seen. The signatures, all in bright blue ink, include Walt Alston on the sweet spot; East Panel: Carl Erskine, Roy Campanella, Don Bessent, Jackie Robinson, Gil Hodges, Billy Loes; West Panel: Frank Kellert, Don Hoak, Ed Roebuck, Don Newcombe; North Panel: Carl Furillo, Walt Moryn, Karl Spooner, Chuck Templeton, Dixie Howell, Russ Meyer, George Shuba; and South Panel: Clem Labine, Don Zimmer, Roger Craig, Jim Gilliam, Pee Wee Reese, and Duke Snider. The PSA LOA stipulates that both the Reese and Snider signatures are clubhouse. Considering the enthusiasm and fanfare surrounding this band of heroes, it is simply remarkable that such an artifact could have been spared from handling by eager admirers.

Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
