Offered here is an impressive 1951 Bowman #111 Curt Simmons graded MINT 9 by PSA. Simmons signed with the Phillies in 1950 after striking out 11 players in 1947 as a high school star pitcher. He went on to have an impressive 20-year career as a pitcher recording 1,697 strikeouts, 163 complete games, and 36 shutouts with a 3.54 ERA.
The card features excellent symmetry and vibrant coloring, both attributes which aren't too common for vintage examples. Only two examples have been graded higher in PSA's Population Report while only 11 have been given the MINT 9 status. An incredibly scarce example for an immensely talented pitcher.
