Offered is one of the sharpest Ruth autos we've handled in a very long time. A unique envelope with "George," "Herman," and "Ruth" postal stampings from each respective city features a striking PSA MINT 9 BABE RUTH autograph written across the right side of the very well preserved mailing envelope. Three colorful purple stamps are affixed to the front of the envelope along with a stamped address, "JAMES R. MAXWELL 803 Forest Avenue South Bend, Indiana." The stock has some mild yellowing as is standard for an envelope that has markings from 1947. Ruth died a short 15 months after the post marks on this envelope. An unbelievable bold black fountain pen offering of the Bambino's signature at the tail end of his life.
