George Pipgras was an integral part of the Yankees rotation in 1927. It was in that memorable year that the talented right hander posted a record of 10-3, including a 6-2 complete game victory over the Pirates in Game 2 of the World Series. The following season he blossomed into one of the top pitchers in the game, leading the American League in wins with 24. Presented is an exceptionally clean OAL (Brown) ball signed by Pipgras in blue ink across the sweet spot. The signature rates 9/10 minimally. Pipgras singles are nearly non-existent in the collecting world and this example surely must be among the best of them. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (AG01578).
