The early 1930's were a golden time for card collecting largely because of the beautiful art nouveau influence that characterized many of the issues. This lot contains some of the scarcer aviation and flight related non-sports cards and premiums from that era. Included are 9 of the 10 1936 Goudey Large Format 5" by 5" "History of Aviation" premiums (missing only the super rare number 1 card) most in strong excellent shape; 46 "Coca Cola American Fighting Plane" 3 ½" by 3" cards mostly singles with some duplicates in generally excellent condition; 3 large format "Wings of Victory" premiums in at least excellent shape; the 14 card full set of Gum Inc's "The World In Arms" including some duplicates most with very tiny single pin holes in the top not affecting the images otherwise in excellent shape Additionally we offer a colorful 108 card set of the 1933 National Chicle "Sky Birds" in very good shape; the black and white 128 card set R-138?s "Adventures Of Smiling Jack" in generally very good shape with some better; a very scarce 18 card uncatalogued Japanese card set with stunning colorful images on the front and blue tint images on the back including the very rare Hitler back. That set in strong excellent to near mint shape. Finally the lot includes 7 flight related card albums with cards affixed. Those card booklets are 43 of the 48 card Tydol Flying Stamp Album from 1940; the beautifully constructed full 50 card John Player and Sons ?Aeroplane? and "Royal Air Force" sets; the more contemporary 50 card Brooke Bond "History of Aviation" & "The Race Into Space" full sets; and the 24 card "Wings of Speed" & "Wings Across the World" complete sets.
