Rising star Kristaps Porzingis stands 7’ 3” with a 7’ 6” wingspan and is one of the most versatile big men in the NBA. Just 22 years old, the New York Knicks’ 2015 first round pick from Latvia, dubbed “Unicorn” by fellow Swiss Army knife 7-footer Kevin Durant, has the chance to become one of, if not, the greatest foreigners to ever play in the league. This lot features Porzingis’ home Knicks jersey that has been photo-matched to four separate games from the 2016-17 campaign. From Feb. 4-12, Porzingis notched 69 points and pulled down 25 rebounds during the four home contests on 2/4, 2/8, 2/10 and 2/12. He poured in 27 points on 10-19 shooting against the Clippers and finished off the homestand with a 16-point, 7-board, 4-block effort in a 94-90 win over the Spurs.

The white polyester Adidas jersey (size “2XL2”) reflects plenty of game wear with plenty of fraying of the numbers and letters apparent and sports “NEW YORK” across the chest in orange tackle twill outlined in blue and silver. His uniform number “6” appears on the front and back in orange tackle twill outlined in blue and white. The front left tail boasts an official Adidas/climacool manufacturer’s tag (“2XL”) that includes the “NBA Authentics” logo, a flag tag that reads “LENGTH +2” and a game tag that reads “NKNO4918.” Additional black marker has been added (presumably by the team equipment manager) to the tags that read “2-12-17” and “V. San Antonio Spurs.” His last name – “PORZINGIS” – appears across the shoulders in blue tackle twill that has been stitched directly onto the jersey. The official NBA red, white and blue logo is embroidered on the back just below a gold “2X” champions patch that commemorates the Knicks 1970 and ’73 NBA titles. Lastly, a special “70th” anniversary patch celebrating the league’s founding in 1946 appears on the right shoulder. Conclusive photomatches were made based on the alignment of the jersey’s mesh holes with the custom stitched letters, numbers and patch on the front of the jersey as well as loose threads that are quite apparent in that area as well.

Includes LOA’s from both Steiner Sports (hologram #244999) and Resolution Photomatching (#425383).
