The makers of PF Flyers sneakers brought out all the stars for their 1953 ad campaign to promote their sponsored TV program. Future Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle, Stan Musial, Roy Campanella, Nellie Fox, Robin Roberts, and Phil Rizzuto join Whitey Lockman, George Kell, Hank Sauer, and Bobby Shantz on this colorful advertising sign. The headshots of the stars are placed against a ballpark backdrop rendered in the whimsical style that is unmistakably 1950s. Today this sign is extremely hard to find in any condition, and this is a particularly nice example. Measuring 19x26" this display shows edge wear and abrasions from use. The colors remain clean and bright and are further enhanced by the tasteful professional matting and frame with protective UV glass and presents in Excellent condition and is at least as fine and likely better thatn any other example of this highly enjoyable piece.
