Edgar Renteria was named the 2010 World Series Most Valuable Player after his three-run homer provided the winning margin for the Giants in their championship-clinching Game 5 victory against the Rangers. Renteria's blast off Philadelphia’s Cliff Lee in the seventh inning the night of November 1st, 2010 provided all the runs the Giants' brilliant pitchers needed to close out the World Series four games to one. The veteran shortstop was an unlikely Giants hero in the World Series, delivering seven hits, including two home runs while scoring six runs and driving in six in five games. The offered jersey was worn by Renteria when he hit his three-run home run in the Giants’ 3-1 clincher. The road grey jersey is completely original and unaltered and features the exclusive 2010 World Series patch on the right sleeve. The jersey was sourced directly from Renteria himself, having been signed by him on the back number and inscribed, “2010 World Series MVP Game Used 2010 World Series Game 5 Home Run Off Cliff Lee”. Having not been washed, it shows excellent game use including being spotted throughout with Champaign stains from the post game celebration. This jersey represents one of the greatest moments in the modern era of San Francisco Giants baseball. Includes a signed LOA from Edgar Renteria.
