Former USC Trojans standout offensive tackle Anthony Munoz went on to have a Pro Football Hall of Fame career with the Cincinnati Bengals. Drafted third overall in the 1980 NFL Draft, Munoz spent 13 seasons with the Bengals during which time he was named to 11 Pro Bowls and helped the Bengals reach the Super Bowl twice (XVI and XXIII). This lot includes his game-worn and signed Cincinnati Bengals No. 78 jersey from the early ‘80s, during his few seasons in the league. The nylon size XL Champion jersey (3 EXTRA LENGTH) had to be big to cover the 6’ 6” 280-pound eventual Hall of Famer. Sporting the Bengals orange-and-black stripes and his trademark number 78 on the front, back and on both sleeves, the jersey shows ample game wear with small rips on the front and some noticeable fraying of his nameplate – “MUNOZ” – across the back. He has signed the back of the jersey in silver, across the number “7” and added “#78” next to his last name. The signature remains strong and would rate 8-9/10 in our book.

Includes letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
