Interesting period 30" by 9" color piece featuring 2 3/4" by 4 1/4" actual black and white portrait photos of Hall of Famers Ty Cobb, Cy Young, Christy Mathewson, and Rube Waddell. Cather Lou Criger is also present. The pictures appear to be Sporting Life images and are surrounded by an ornate baseball themed design. The 3 Hall of Fame pitchers are each identified with the further notation "One of the three most celebrated pitchers". Cobb is labeled "One of the highest salaries players" while Criger is "One of the most celebrated catchers". Piece has the feel of poster paper. The light blue background is surrounded by a white border. The piece has some obvious flaws - separated to the right and left of Waddell, holes at all four corners with two at the bottom left, a crease to the right side of Mathewson's image, a couple of small tears at the edges, tip of bottom left corner missing. However, with some restoration and the proper framing and matting this could be one explosive display piece. First one any of us have ever seen.
