Great assortment of 1890’s to 1910’s hobby related tobacco advertising items includes a pair of Piedmont cigarettes advertising folding chairs. The backrest of these folding chairs are comprised of a metal sign that features identical front and back ads for the Piedmont brand of Virginia cigarettes. Probably representing a type of promotional device that was used to fill temporary bleacher sections of period ballparks or sporting arenas, these chairs are all original and complete.
Also included in this lot are four empty tins of Colgan's gum; two Favorite Chewing Tobacco Memo Books endorsed by Nellie Fox; one unopened pack of Homerun Cigarettes; one opened paper pouch for 4 Bagger tobacco (mostly empty); and one Joe Tinker license plate frame.
