Hall of Fame pitcher Don Drysdale recorded an overall record of 209-166 over his 14-year MLB career, every season of which was played for the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers. Entering the 1960’s, Drysdale had established himself as one of the most feared right-handers in the National League. This lot includes an assortment of five game-worn undershirts that Drysdale used during the 1960’s. Each of the three-quarter sleeve undershirts shows considerable wear with perspiration stains and discoloration throughout. Two of the five undershirts are Rawlings-branded, two are Tim McAuliffe manufactured and one is Russell Southern Co. All of the "XL" sized undershirts are marked "53" in fine-point black marker on the outside of the rear collar.
Includes LOA from the Drysdale Family.
