This is an extraordinary pairing that pays homage to late September 2007 context when a Derek Jeter 3-run home run off the Red Sox ace Curt Schilling kept the Yankees 2 1/2 games in the AL East Wild Card Race. A baseball used in that game has been autographed by Jeter on the sweet spot - and he added an inscription that reads " 3 run HR vs. Schilling" - on an OMLB Selig ball that shows good game use and the ironclad assurances from Major League Baseball's Authentication Program and Steiner Sports, with holograms affixed. The companion piece is a sparkling full-color reproduction of the Newsday cover from the next day, with "Captain Clutch" headline and image of same. The 11-by-14-inch piece is then matted in blue and framed in black metal and plexiglass to overall dimensions of 18-by-22 inches. All elements of the Newsday cover and presentation appear to be in essentially pristine, as-issued and problem-free condition.
Comes with Steiner LOA and MLB Authentication Holograms. ,Ball also accompanied by a full LOA from JSA.
