Featuring diamonds (.95 ct.) in the encrusted "NY" logo and face , this 14 karat gold ring is embossed "World Champions 1998" and was given to outfielder Darryl Strawberry.  One side of the band shows the Yankee logo above and reads "125-50" and "Best Ever" to commemorate their historic regular season record. The other side is engraved "Strawberry" above an image of the World Series trophy against the Yankee Stadium facade, "Tradition."  Inside it is stamped "Balfour 14K." Starring with the Mets in the 1980's, Strawberry led the team to a world title in 1986 and was voted to the All-Star Game eight straight times from 1984-1991. After battling personal problems in the early 1990's, he joined the Yankees in 1996, just in time to be a part of the Torre dynasty. In 1998, he had 24 home runs, but was diagnosed with colon cancer and could not play in the World Series. The Yankees swept the Padres without him as Mariano Rivera established his dominance as a closer with three saves. Strawberry's championship ring is accompanied by a hand written LOA on Yankees stationery, dated March 31, 2005, verifying that the ring was his and  has been signed by Strawberry. The ring is in excellent condition with minor wear. Size: 10 1/2".
