The 1990-91 Duke Blue Devils, coached by the legendary Mike Krzyzewski, won the National Basketball Championship over Kansas by the score of 72-65. Christian Laettner was named Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Tournament. This lot features Laettner’s signed and inscribed 1991 NCAA Championship Hoosier Dome game-used floor piece (Duke’s 1st ever Title) from his personal collection. The front side of the wood floor section (approx. 5" by 6.5" x 1.25" thick) displays its yellow surface color with “Christian Laettner 32" on one side and "Go Duke” on the other signed in 10/10 blue Sharpie.

The Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis hosted one heck of a 1991 Final Four. In one semifinal, perennial Blue Bloods UNC and Kansas squared off in a battle between mentor (Dean Smith) and protégé (Roy Williams). In the other semifinal, Duke stunned Jerry Tarkenian's #1 ranked UNLV Runnin' Rebels who were looking to go undefeated and win back-to-back NCAA titles. The colossal upset ended UNLV's 45-game win streak and was, by far, Coach K's most important win to date.

Includes LOA from Christian Laettner. Autographs were witnessed and photographed by SCP representative; we guarantee them to pass any third party authentication. There is a COA sticker from Iowa Sports Marketing, Inc. on the reverse of the floor piece.
